  11. General notes:
  12.     -   This is a 'preview' release of TBAV-for-Windows 6.50, which will
  13.         have a completely new designed heuristic engine.
  14.         The actual reason for this preview release is that we added
  15.         detection for four currently quickly spreading viruses: NightFall,
  16.         ByWay, WordMacro.Concept, Media.
  17.  
  18.     -   This release introduces the final evaluation version of
  19.         TBAV-for-Windows95 ! After three months of beta-testing we are
  20.         now ready to start shipping our native 32-bit anti-virus
  21.         application, with full support of the Windows95 features.
  22.  
  23.         By the end of September we will have all the advanced features of
  24.         TBAV-for-Windows, like the Background scanning, Application Execution
  25.         Tracker and File I/O monitor, implemented in the Windows95-version
  26.         of TBAV!

  28.         The final evaluation version of TBAV-for-Windows95 V6.38 is
  29.         available (without charge!) from the ThunderBYTE support BBS!

  44.     -   The printed manual has been completely rewritten. It covers
  45.         TBAV-for-Dos, TBAV-for-Windows and TBAV-for-Networks. If you are
  46.         using the old printed manual, we advise you to contact your
  47.         local distributor to get a updated manual.

  49.     -   The electronic manual provided with TBAV-for-Dos has been
  50.         revised. Those of you who once printed the "TBAV.DOC" file,
  51.         are advised to print out this new electronic manual. Please note
  52.         that this electronic manual only covers TBAV-for-Dos. The
  53.         manuals for TBAV-for-Windows and TBAV-for-Networks are formed
  54.         by the Windows-based .HLP-files for these products.

  67.     -   TBAV-for-Networks has been released. This product, which
  68.         operates together with TBAVWIN, allows you to implement a secure
  69.         anti-virus system on your network! An evaluation version of
  70.         TBAV-for-Networks V6.38 is available (without charge!) from the

  72.         distributor for more information!

  75.     -   Since TBAV-for-Windows and TBAV-for-DOS both use the same scan
  76.         engine, you are advised to read the "What's New" information
  77.         concerning TBAV-for-DOS as well. Select the item "What's new ?"
  78.         in the TBAV-for-Windows 'Documentation' menu to read the
  79.         information.
